Weekly bookings are from Friday to Friday or Monday to Monday, but do contact us if this is difficult and we will see if we can help. Three night weekend breaks from Friday to Monday and four night mid week breaks from Monday to Friday.
Upon receiving your enquiry and subsequent request to book a seven night break, we shall pencil in your required dates and ask that you send a 25% deposit in order to secure your booking. This can be paid directly into our bank account, details of which will be send upon your request to book, or by cheque. When the deposit is received or the cheque cleared we shall immediately confirm your booking and blank out your dates in the availability calendar. The 75% balance should be paid one month before the holiday start date.
With short breaks (three night weekends or four night midweek stays) the entire booking fee should be paid in order to confirm your dates. For pricing, please see the ‘Availability & Pricing’ section of our website, as the prices changes based on the time of year. Unfortunately no refund is possible once the short break is paid, confirmed and blocked out on the calendar in fairness to other potential guests trying to book.
All utility bills, linen and towels etc. are included in your booking fee as are logs and kindling for the log burner in the sitting room.
We do not charge for minor breakages such as glass ware and crockery but please do tell us as soon as any damage occurs as we will want to put it right immediately so that everything is in order for you and assures that the accommodation will be just as perfect for the people arriving after you.
If you need to cancel your holiday, please refer to the Cancellation Policy below. We do understand that unforeseen things can happen to us all, so please contact us as soon as possible.
The accommodation will be ready for you from 3.00 p.m. on the day of arrival. There is usually someone here to welcome you in and briefly run through safety information or answer any questions you may have. Hopefully we will have spoken with you on the telephone prior to your arrival re times, keys etc. and we hope all things you might want or need to know can be found in the information folder in the sitting room.
The accommodation is non smoking but feel free to do so in the grounds or on your terrace. Please empty any ash trays directly into the outside bins not in the accommodation kitchen bins. Guests are kindly requested not to use the steep steps that lead down from the terrace area – this is roped off. Access is possible from the steps towards the front of the house.
Please don’t hesitate to tell us if there is a problem or if there is something else that you need. We want you to enjoy your stay and want to make it as memorable as possible for you so please ask if we can be of any help whatsoever.
Cancellation Policy – Booking Cancellations and Amendments
Insurance
We strongly recommend that our Guests take out suitable holiday insurance, to cover the total cost of your holiday in the event of cancellation.
Cooling Off Period
Mynd Court offers a complimentary 24 hour grace period from the time we accept your booking, as a ‘cooling off’ period. Should you wish to cancel your booking within this time, a full refund (of the deposit and balance) will be provided. As such, please ensure that you thoroughly review your booking confirmation within 24 hours of receiving the booking confirmation and notify Mynd Court immediately if you have any queries.
Cancellation of Confirmed Booking
A holiday booking is a legally binding contract. In the event of a cancellation for any reason other than the circumstances set out you will become liable for the full cost of the holiday unless we can secure another booking to replace your booking. This is not guaranteed.
On cancellation of a confirmed booking, Mynd Court will retain your non-refundable booking deposit and, if paid, the balance. Where only the booking deposit has been paid at the time of cancellation, you will remain responsible for payment to Mynd Court of the total cost of your booking.
Your liability on cancellation to pay the total cost of the holiday, which is at the our discretion, may be subject to deductions if Mynd Court is able to fill your cancelled booking with replacement guests, subject to any deductions taking into account Mynd Court’s administrative time and any discounted price Mynd Court may be required to charge in order to secure such booking at a later stage. We therefore strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance to cover you for the full cost of the stay.
All cancellations must be notified to Mynd Court, in writing or by submitting a cancellation request prior to the commencement date of the holiday letting period. If, after submitting a cancellation request, you do not receive a response from us within 72 hours, please contact us on 07860 527359.
Changing Dates
If you wish change your holiday to a different date, please contact us as soon as possible, but this is subject to availability and any price differences will be chargeable.
Property Unavailability
If for any reason Mynd Court becomes unavailable, for example because of flood, fire damage or other similar circumstances; or we are prevented from making the property available to you due to government restrictions or public health measures restricting (1) domestic travel, or (2) use of holiday accommodation / rentals (including measures which are introduced in response to a pandemic or epidemic, such as COVID-19), we will notify you as soon as possible. We will, where practicable, try and provide alternative accommodation or dates for you, although unfortunately we cannot guarantee that we will be able to find a suitable alternative for you.
If no suitable alternative is available, or if you choose not to take the alternative property or dates offered to you, your booking will be cancelled and refunded.
